Ham & Swiss Spiral Bread

I typically make this recipe with sourdough bread, but you could easily modify this recipe and use crescent rolls. These are basically awesome little sandwiches that you could also eat for another meal besides breakfast.

Ingredients:

1 Rafter Creek Ham Steak

1 pkg. Swiss Cheese

1 c. Mozzarella Cheese

1/2 c. Diced Onions

Butter

Sourdough bread or a few packages of crescent rolls.

Instructions:

1. Add a thin layer of water to a shallow baking dish and cook ham steaks for 20-30 minutes at 350. Once cool, finely chop ham in a food processor and set aside.

2. While ham is cooking, saute onion in approximately 1-2 tbsp. of butter and let cool.

3. Roll out your desired dough on a floured surface.

4. Layer Swiss cheese, ham, and onions on dough and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

5. Roll bread up, cut into rolls, and bake in oven according to directions for your specific bread.

6. While still hot, spread butter on rolls.
